Children’s channel ‘pops off’ Sky

The youngster aimed channel disappeared from Freeview last year…

Narrative Entertainment has confirmed to ATV Today the closure on Sky of its Pop Max ‘kids’ channel today, Tuesday 22nd April. Pop Max content will be available to watch on the Pop channel, and the Pop Player.

It launched in 2008.

Our POP network is a powerful way for advertisers and sponsors to reach households with kids, and we’re ensuring the maximum impact for partners by closing the POP Max channel on Sky and moving the content to our POP channel and POP Player.

“Our POP network is still the UK’s only dedicated free-to-air commercial kids broadcaster, and the number one kids network for co-viewing, with 48% share.”

The channel was closed on Freeview in December 2024.
