In the café, Betsy rails at Tracy and then Carla for endangering her life. Lisa tries to calm her down but Betsy storms out. Lauren finds Betsy destroying the contents of the florist van, as she tries to stop her Tracy approaches and in a panic Lauren sets off with Betsy in the van.
In the precinct, Lauren and Betsy survey the smashed-up van. As a panicky Lauren admits that she’s never passed her test, a police car pulls up nearby. Can the girls talk their way out of this one?
Meanwhile, Eileen is still feeling unsure about her relationship. Julie tells her that she needs to be with someone who makes her heart sing and should not settle for second best.
Elsewhere, in The Rovers, Daisy and Christina are shocked to realise that Dom has spent the night with Jenny. Jenny says she really likes him but they just spent the night talking. When Daniel and Daisy arrive at the hotel for a couples massage Daniel is surprised to see Christine with Dom – is the game up?
Debbie is looking after Laila for the day and when she discovers she has a temperature she tells Roy she’s going to take her to the doctors. Dee-Dee’s concerned and insists on going with them. The hospital run tests and get her temperature down but Debbie notices the formula milk she gave her is for 3-6 month olds and believes it is her fault.
Also, David fumes when he finds out that Sarah is seeing Kit. Having fixed the hotel van, Abi flirts with Carl at reception before heading home.

Abigail invites Mali to the beach so they can work through their recent conflict. They both apologise and Mali promises he would never do anything to hurt her, but he also admits that he doesn’t like the whole testing thing. She’s understanding and takes the honest moment between them as an opportunity to ask him to move back in.
Mali argues that living apart works best for them as a couple, but Abigail counters that was before he bent the truth. It becomes apparent that this is about a lack of trust. Does Abigail want Mali at home where she can see him?
Abigail arrives home, emotions running high. Levi tries to follow as Abigail reveals she has maybe just broken up with Mali. She was made to feel like she was in the wrong for telling him what she needed. Levi attempts diplomacy but Abigail doesn’t want to talk about it. Levi finds Mali at work and confronts him. Mali pushes back and it becomes evident that Levi has misunderstood, thinking it was Mali’s idea to move back in. When Mali explains that it was Abigail’s idea, they both return home where Mali admits that he took the easier option when he met up with Rose. He’s got stuff to work on, if Abigail can meet him in the middle. She’s just got to find a way to trust him, and to stop playing games.
John and Leah are pushy with Irene, trying to coax her into coming to Harper and Tane’s wedding. Irene’s tense – she’s getting tired of being told what to do by the pair of ‘em. Alf and Marilyn are thrilled to see her back at the Diner but Leah’s worried that being there might be too much. Instead, it seems, having Leah and John as helicopter parents is the problem.
Later, Irene catches her friends talking about her, and Leah admits they’re worried. Irene accepts, admitting she’s not offended, but she’s worried about herself too. She’s struggling without the accountability and routine that rehab brought her. Now she’s entirely responsible for herself, and it’s got her very on edge.
