There’s plenty of content to sink your teeth into on ITVX…
This week saw all episodes of cult classic ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ become available to stream, whilst the supernatural spin-off ‘Angel‘ starring David Boreanaz premieres from Thursday 1st May.
Both shows will join Romantasy hits ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘The Originals‘ & ‘Vampire Diaries: Legacies‘ – with all episodes available to stream now.
In Buffy The Vampire Slayer the story starts as Buffy Anne Summers (Sarah Michelle Geller), having recently moved to Sunnydale, California, just wants to be a normal teenager. Back in Los Angeles, her first Watcher had died, she inadvertently burned down the gymnasium at her old high school, and her parents got a divorce.
The move to Sunnydale is supposed to give both Buffy and her mother Joyce a clean slate, but she then meets school librarian Rupert Giles and quickly learns that there is no escaping her destiny.
With Giles as her new Watcher, Buffy reluctantly steps back into her role as the Slayer – however, this time she is not fighting alone. Buffy now has an inner circle of special friends – Willow, Xander, Cordelia, and a mysterious young man named Angel – ready to join the fight and drive in a stake or two if need be.
While in Angel a centuries-old vampire cursed with a conscience has left the small California town of Sunnydale and the only woman he ever loved to take up residence in the City of Angels. Between the pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city’s glittering facade, Los Angeles proves to be the ideal address for a fallen vampire looking to save a few lost souls – and in turn perhaps redeem his own by restoring hope to those locked in a losing battle with their own demons. Angel is played by David Boreanaz.
The Vampire Diaries was acclaimed by critics and fans alike and is the story of two vampire brothers obsessed with the same girl in a small town where supernatural beings live in secret amongst its residents. As the series begins, brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore return to their hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Get ready for epic romance, suspense and a bloody good thrill ride.
Vampires, witches, werewolves… The Originals. Family is power in this series from executive producer Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries). Simmering with supernatural elements, the series centers on the Original vampire family, as the dangerous vampire/werewolf hybrid, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), returns to New Orleans – the town he helped build centuries ago. And in Vampire Diaries: Legacies the iconic heroes and villains of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals leave an enduring legacy of love and family in their wake, which continues in Legacies, a thrilling drama that tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, Matthew Davis returns as Alaric Saltzman.
