Iain Stirling joins Comedy Central

Comedy Central UK brings comedian and presenter Iain Stirling to screens with a roasting…

Iain Stirling:

“I’m so excited to be involved in this project which allows me to collaborate with some of my favourite people in TV (and the internet) and lets me doom-scroll TikTok while calling it work!”

Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet is the second show announced today to be hosted by the voice of Love Island following the BBC confirming the Scottish funnyman will present reality show Race Against the Tide.

Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet is a studio comedy entertainment show all about the very worst things on the internet – that CC is legally able to talk about on broadcast television. Every episode, Iain will roast social clips, posts and trends, with three famous faces – comedians, online celebrities and TV personalities – joining him each week to tackle their own online bugbears. And alongside all the roasting, Iain and his guests will also be offering up some ingenious and hilarious solutions to the dumpster fire that is the online world.

With outrageous clips, funny chat and top comedy performances, Iain and his guests will be taking the internet down a peg or two, while all also secretly hoping their best bits will go viral.

Luke Hales, SVP Content & Brand Strategy, MTV Entertainment Studios UK, Australia & Canada:

“The internet is a chaotic, ridiculous place, and who better to make sense of it all for us than Iain Stirling? With his unique comedy voice at the heart of the show and a brilliant lineup of guests, this series is packed with laughs – a real treat for our audiences on Comedy Central UK.”

Iain Stirling’s Roast the Internet will air across six episodes to broadcast in an hour-long slot. The series will be filmed in the spring and is due to air later this year on Comedy Central UK.  This new series will be produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios.
