This time, presenter Grado is joined by weather presenter Judith Ralston, swapping the BBC Scotland weather studio for an unforgettable adventure on the road.
From the rugged Highlands to the picturesque shores of Dumfries and Galloway, the pair will be uncovering hidden gems, luxurious retreats, and budget-friendly stays to suit every kind of traveller.
Judith Ralston commented:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Grado on this adventure to find Scotland’s Greatest Escape! Getting to travel the country and experience so many breathtaking locations is a real dream come true. Scotland’s beauty never fails to amaze me. Come rain or shine, this series is set to be a real ray of sunshine—and I can’t wait for viewers to join us on the journey.”
Their adventure will take them across land, sea, and even air, exploring everything from houseboats and castle estates to treehouses and unique eco-retreats.
Along the way, they will meet the passionate people behind these remarkable stays and delve into the fascinating stories that make each escape special.

Taking recommendations from locals, the pair will dive into thrilling activities such as bungee jumping at Killiecrankie, salmon spotting at Rogie Falls, and soaring above the Black Isle on a scenic flight.
Grado said:
“Having Judith aff the weather along for the ride has made this series even more special. We’ve had such a laugh together, and I think people will really enjoy watching us visit these incredible escapes. Even after three series, I’m still blown away by the hidden gems Scotland has to offer—I guarantee there’s something for everyone!”
Scotland’s Greatest Escape is a Red Sky Production for BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer.
