Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman on Love Island win

Love has been found on ITV2’s island…

After an unforgettable return to South Africa, Love Island: All Stars series two reached its dramatic conclusion on Monday. There’s been weeks of coupling up, bombshells, steals, challenges, disagreements and shock dumpings.

The winners Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman have spoken about their ‘win’ following the end of the series.

Can you explain the feeling of when host Maya Jama announced you’d won?

Gabby: “No… I think I was actually in a state of shock for quite a while.”
Casey: “I don’t think Gabby blinked the whole evening.”
Gabby: “He started jumping up and down, I squatted down and just screamed! It was the weirdest experience ever. It was so unexpected. Complete disbelief. I was gobsmacked!”

Did you have any idea you could win?

Gabby: “All the couples were so strong, I don’t think you could call it! You have to take into account, we only see what we see, so we don’t know what everyone’s seen. I couldn’t believe we’d won it.”
Casey: “All of the couples were in such a good position and in such a happy place.”
Gabby: “We all would have been happy for anyone to win.”

Your journey Gabby from being re-united with your ex to winning, can you describe that…

Gabby: “What a rollercoaster! When Marce came in, on the second day, I was saying, ‘What am I going to do because he’s sound and all the lads get on with him, so the lads are going to feel weird talking to me?’ It was just so weird. Then me and Casey hit it off. Going from that, to the best positive ever is unbelievable.”

It felt like an instant connection between the two of you?

Casey: “Massively. Gabby was the first girl I pulled in the Villa and since then, every single girl I was chatting to Gabby was in the back of my mind, which was so nice. Even bombshells that would come in I was saying to myself, ‘Come on you need to keep open, you can’t shut yourself off this early on’, but I just couldn’t.”

Casey you said before you went in you wanted to find ‘your Molly [Smith]’ – is Gabby that?

Casey: “She is 100%.”

What will Tom [Clare] be thinking?

Casey: “He’ll be so happy for me. I think he’s just over the moon that I’ve found that someone that I was hoping I would find.”

Which couple is going to be the best in the gym? You two or Molly and Tom?

Gabby: “Me. Not even Casey, just me. No, I think the girls will put the boys to shame to be honest, 100%.”

Is it going to be competitive?

Gabby: “No… is it?”
Casey: “Yeah! Tom’s the most competitive bloke in the world.”
Gabby: “I would love to train with Molly, she’s amazing. She’s a fast runner. I like running but I’m not a sprinter. I can’t wait for all of the fitness.”
Casey: “They’re doing a half marathon we should join them.”
Gabby: “I’d like to do a half marathon.”

You are ‘exclusive’ is the next stage girlfriend/ boyfriend?

Casey: “I didn’t want to do that in the Villa. That’s for when we get out, when it’s just us two. It’ll be special.”
Gabby, how important is your dog’s seal of approval on the relationship?
Gabby: “If Oscar doesn’t like Casey, he’s got to go! I’m so excited to see him. He loves everyone but when you come in through the door, you have to greet him. You have to give him a cuddle and sit with him.”
Casey: “Noted.”
Gabby: “He sleeps on the bed.”

Casey, do you like dogs..?

Casey: “I love dogs! I’ve got two labs. Fine by me [if he sleeps on the bed]. He’s the boss.”

What is it about each other that you like?

Gabby: “What’s important to me is how he is with other people and the energy he brings to everyone else. He’s so polite and kind to everybody and everybody sees that. He’s hilarious and fun to be around and I don’t stop laughing when I’m with him, which is such a good feeling. You want to feel excited for the day. Obviously I fancied him anyway. He’s a bit of me. So that’s a big deal and an important factor. I think he’s smart and amazing and such good energy. I’m excited.”
Casey: “I think it was just that initial spark when we first spoke. I haven’t felt that in such a long time about anyone. I fancy her so much. We laugh constantly and have such a good time. I love every second of being with her.”

Have the speedos been binned, or packed?

Casey: “Gabby hated them at first, but I think she actually loves them…”

Is there a Casey speedos range on the horizon?

Gabby: “I will not allow that!”
Casey: “Really? Maybe!”

Have you made first date plans?

Casey: “Just a night in. We haven’t done that before.”
Gabby: “A nice dog walk, a coffee and stuff.”

So is this your last time in the Love Island Villa Casey?

Casey: “Absolutely! One million per cent. I’m never, ever coming back.”

Have you made plans for the prize money?

Casey: “Well, Gabby didn’t even know there was prize money!”
Gabby: “I was like, wait, what? News to me! I honestly didn’t even know that was happening – a great bonus, amazing.”
Casey: “We’re going to treat ourselves and go to Europe together.”
Gabby: “Obviously we’ve been away here and it’s been amazing, but it hasn’t just been us two on holiday. I want to treat my family. We’re really grateful.”
