With the BAFTA’s taking last evening, winning an award holds great value for actors. But how much is the trophy actually worth? Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl won in two categories at the BAFTA Film Awards 2025 – for Animated Film, and Children’s and Family Film.

The Beeb will be celebrating those wins today but adding them to the trophy cabinet may see it becoming a valued asset. New research by The Gold Bullion Company has uncovered which film and TV awards trophies would hold the highest financial value if they were made of gold or silver.
The study has revealed that the BAFTA trophy would make the top three most expensive film and TV trophies with a total worth of £215,388 if it was made from solid gold.

The gong awarded to the winners would be incredibly valuable if cast in gold or silver. The actual trophy is made from bronze, but the 5,443-gram award would cost £317,007 if made of gold instead. Even if made of silver, this iconic actor statue would still be valued at £4,028 on the metals market.

The BAFTA Awards trophy is the third most expensive film & TV trophy, weighing 3.7 kilograms, and being valued at a worth of £215,488.00 if it was made of solid gold. This award ceremony celebrates the finest in both British and global film and television. The mask design is inspired by the classic tragicomic masks from Ancient Greek theatre and is made of phosphor bronze.
