Odds on EastEnders’ anniversary death

Who will die in EastEnders 40th anniversary explosion?

The latest odds and predictions have revealed that EastEnders mainstays Martin and Sonia Fowler could be amongst those fearing for their lives in next week’s 40th anniversary shows. The entertainment betting experts at OLBG have profiled the latest bookmaker predictions surrounding the upcoming 40th anniversary week of ‘Enders.

As bookies currently aren’t taking bets on this event, odds have been compiled as theoretical probability from an entertainment perspective only and come from an industry expert as four specials are to air next week that will feature drama, life-threatening explosions, audience votes, and a live episode to finish a dramatic week.

Jake Ashton – Entertainment Betting Expert at OLBG:

“The latest betting market on who will die in the Queen Vic explosion on EastEnders 40th Anniversary week is tight, with fans of the show still unclear as to who it will be who leaves. Reiss Colwell is the favourite to be killed in the explosion in what would be a massive end to the Killer’s storyline on Albert Square.”

Spoilers have shown that there will be a huge explosion at the Vic and not everyone will make it out alive with some big characters in the running to depart the show. Killer Reiss Colwell is in the middle of a massive storyline with Sonia and Bianca on the square, and it may well be that it comes to a conclusion with his death in the explosion.

Fans of the show are convinced that it will be long-running Martin Fowler who is killed in the explosion with various hints pointing at him throughout the past week. Further EastEnders betting specials have suggested that Sonia Fowler has a 33.3% implied probability chance she becomes the latest victim of her killer fiancé Reiss Colwell, a 25% chance she is caught up in the Queen Vic explosion, and lastly, a 20% chance that she leaves the show alive. Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia recently confirmed she has quit the show after 30 years.

The chances are that bloopers are always a possibility during live TV, and entertainment betting experts believe there is an odds-on chance that one of the cast make the dreaded mistake of referring to another character by their real name.

The EastEnders 40th Anniversary will air next Thursday, February 20, live on BBC One and the iPlayer from 7:30pm. There will be no early 6am release online for viewers throughout the whole of next week.
