Coronation Street promo teases Rob’s dramatic bid for freedom

The soap has released a dramatic new trailer featuring Rob Donovan as he attempts to break free from prison.

In tonight’s episode, Lisa (Vicky Myers) realises that Rob (Marc Baylis) is involved in an affair with prison guard Mandy (Rebecca Atkinson). She also susses that the two of them are plotting Rob’s escape whilst he waits at the hospital to donate a kidney to his sister Carla (Alison King).

Lisa convinces Rob to go ahead with the operation, promising to fight for his conviction to be overturned.

But, as the trailer for next week’s episodes shows, Rob is willing to go to any lengths to escape jail and he has no qualms about who he hurts in the process.

As both Carla and Rob recover from the kidney donation operation, tensions rise when Rob assaults a male security guard and steals his uniform, taking Carla with him as he makes his getaway from the hospital.

Lisa is in pursuit, but has she underestimated just how far Rob will go? Is he prepared to kill again or will he pay the ultimate price for his audacious plan?
