UK among market leaders for Eurovision glory
UK 4/11 to outscore 2024 total; 6/4 for top 10 finish…
UK Eurovision act Remember Monday are 16/1 with William Hill to win Eurovision 2025.
The bookmaker place the UK eighth in the market, behind joint favourites Belgium and Israel (both 4/1), Sweden (5/1), France (9/1), Italy (10/1), Ukraine (10/1) and Finland (14/1).Trio Remember Monday are odds-on at 4/11 to outscore the 46 points the UK achieved last year, while they are 6/4 to secure a top 10 finish.
However, the UK are also 4/1 to finish last and 14/1 to score no points this year.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps:
“Following the announcement of Remember Monday as the UK’s Eurovision act there’s some quiet confidence in the trio to put on a respectable show in May, and we’ve placed them towards the head of the market at 16/1. There are only a handful of countries better fancied in the betting and it looks highly likely that Remember Monday will outscore last year’s points total, while we give them a 40% chance of a top 10 finish (6/4).
Should things go awry in Basel, we have the UK at 14/1 to score a grand total of ‘nil-points’, a shorter price than they are to win the competition.”
