The ITV series saw Grayson Perry and Andea Corr take off their masks and leave the show…
It was a double elimination on this week’s The Masked Singer as two characters were unmasked. Taking to the stage to fool the panel and viewers at home were celebrities hidden under the disguises of Dressed Crab, Pufferfish, Kingfisher, Bush, Snail, Bear and Wolf.
The show’s line up of detectives – Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan along with host Joel Dommett pondered once more who’s been masquerading behind the mask?
The first to be unmasked was Kingfisher who was revealed to be artist and presenter Grayson Perry despite a strong urge by some on the panel that it was comedian Harry Hill. Grayson noted he’d been channelling Harry Hill’s style to distract them.
“I’ve had a lovely time, the whole experience. When I’m normally here on stage I can’t hear, I can’t see, I can’t even scratch my nose. The shock for me taking the head off is seeing you lot! I embraced the spirit of the show.” – Grayson Perry
Next up was Snail who was revealed to be singer and actress Andea Corr of The Corrs fame, although Johnathan Ross proclaimed to be a huge fan of the band who had hits with Breathless and What Can I Do? but he failed to recognise the voice.
“I’ve had such a good time everybody has been so lovely. It’s been really joyous. Also I wanted to do it for my children and my nieces and nephews and friends and just for the laugh.” – Andea Corr
The Masked Singer, Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1, ITVX & STV.
