In 2024 the attraction based on the HBO series surpassing the 250,000-visitor mark since opening and retaining its five-star status.
The studio’s success was further highlighted by winning three awards at the NI Social Media Awards, including Best Social Media Campaign in Tourism, and earning the title Tourism Partner of the Year at the prestigious Asia Matters Business Awards.
Game of Thrones Studio Tour is marking its popularity by giving back to the community. During December they recognised the dedication of community champions by gifting tickets to local schools, sports clubs and charities.
This donation has already made a significant impact, particularly through partnerships with Netball NI and the Irish Football Association (IFA). Netball NI has used the complimentary tickets to raise funds for local teams, whilst the IFA has used the donation to reward the dedication of football volunteers across Northern Ireland.
Teachers, classroom assistants, and support staff from eighteen local schools are also being invited to discover the magic of the tour with complimentary admission. This initiative offers these hardworking individuals, who dedicate so much to their communities, a well-deserved opportunity to take time for themselves and enjoy a world-class, homegrown attraction. Tickets have also been provided to volunteers from the Studio Tour’s corporate charity partner USPCA, recognising their invaluable contributions.
Situated along the Dublin-Belfast corridor, Game of Thrones Studio Tour invites visitors to step inside the Game of Thrones filming sets, including Winterfell, Dragonstone, and King’s Landing. Guests can marvel at authentic screen-used props, explore over 150 stunning costumes, and immerse themselves in the behind-the-scenes magic that brought the epic series to life.
