On this Day 1958: ‘Fairground families’ unite

OTD, January 20th 1958…

We go back sixty-seven years On this Day as the wedding took place that united two fairground families in Nottinghamshire.

The ATV Midlands News item shows the bridesmaids and a bride leaving a trailer and getting into a car. They are then seen entering the church as the bride is accompanied by her father and later sequences show the wedding party outside the church.

The news item also shows wedding guests throwing confetti and the couple driving off and finally the ATV camera crew head to the marriage reception party, where wedding guests mingle and we get to see the cutting of the cake.
