Pick of the Plots: Friday 17th January

Abi is still having visions of Seb. Unaware of what Kevin’s going through, she tells him Alfie has a cold so she is going to spend the day at home.

Kevin sees Dr Gaddas who refers him for tests. Unable to speak to Abi, an upset Kevin confides in Tim about his cancer worries before returning home and finding Abi asleep on the sofa with Alfie. He takes Alfie upstairs but when Debbie lets herself in, Abi wakes up and accuses her of taking Alfie.

As Debbie leaves, Abi tries to defend her overreaction. When Kevin tells her about his lump and that he may have testicular cancer, Abi reels in shock. In the café, Abi opens up to Roy.

Meanwhile, as her trial starts, Lauren listens as the prosecution barrister addresses the court and paints her as a liar.

Having returned to the prison, Lauren’s barrister warns her that the case could go either way. In the prison, Brie approaches Lauren and purposely winds her up by suggesting Frankie would be better off without her.

Elsewhere, Carla discovers that if she accepts Rob’s donation then she will have to go private due to the cost of keeping a prisoner in hospital. Ryan is shocked to discover that it will cost in the region of £100,000. How will she get the money?

Also, Daniel tells Adam how he suspects Cassie is drugging Ken’s tea but he can’t say anything because Daisy’s pregnant, he might be the dad and Cassie is blackmailing him.

When Tracy remarks that she’s well rid of Nick, she should count her blessings and start enjoying life, Leanne’s left thoughtful.
