Pick of the Plots: Monday 13th January

Cindy is now awake and wants answers about what happened to her. When Peter avoids her questions about the family, Cindy becomes emotional.

Anna returns to Walford to inform George and the Knights that Cindy is awake. At the hospital, DCI Arthurs interviews Cindy, who is horrified to learn that she was probably attacked by someone who knows her.

Later, Peter and Lauren come to visit Cindy, but she reacts negatively towards Lauren. Soon after, the police show up at The Vic and arrest Lauren for attempted murder.

Meanwhile, Denise and Ravi continue their secret meetings but nearly get caught by Chelsea and Kim. Denise invites Jack and the Brannings to celebrate Raymond’s birthday, and Nigel tries to persuade Phil to join as well.

At the party, Ravi feels jealous of Jack, while Phil and Denise have a confrontation, leaving her furious at his selfishness. Later on, as Ravi and Denise share a private moment, Nugget unexpectedly walks in on them kissing.

Elsewhere, Reiss rejects Martin’s offer of getting a cab together to court for Sonia’s trial and heads to the prison to visit her. Sonia begs Reiss to help her prove her innocence and tells him how important it is that Bianca is there to support her during the trial. But when she arrives at court, neither Reiss or Bianca are there

Elsewhere, Teddy and Sharon head off on a spa break, leaving Nicola seething.

Ryan tells Bobby that Carla wouldn’t accept a kidney from Rob even if he offered, but it doesn’t deter Bobby from paying Rob another visit. Rob tells Bobby he has found religion and would like to donate a kidney to Carla if he is a match. But the conversation is cut short when across the visiting room Matty Radcliffe pulls out a knife and Bobby finds himself in the middle of a hostage situation.

Having heard about the ongoing hostage situation from Lisa and discovered Bobby is visiting Rob, Carla tells a shocked Betsy that her brother is a murderer. Does she really want his kidney?

Meanwhile, Sean tells Dylan that Matty has been arrested and the police have found CCTV footage showing him disposing of the knife. The residents are shocked when George tells them Mason’s funeral will be basic with no family there. Betsy leaves the precinct after finding Dylan drinking vodka.

Billy tells Sally he has had a change of heart and will do Mason’s funeral. No-one is aware of Logan watching them from across the street.

Toyah shares her concerns about Abi with Kevin. Abi assures Kevin that she’s coping and doesn’t need any counselling, but once alone, she relives Mason’s last moments in her head, clearly tortured by her experience.

Elsewhere, Bethany tells Daisy she has been offered her dream job on a magazine in London. Daisy urges her to tell Daniel as he will be delighted for her and welcome the move. In the café, an excited Bethany tells Daniel about her job offer, but how will he react?

Also, Dan meets up with Alya in Speed Daal and talks her through the Radcliffe case and how they can use his disadvantaged background as his defence. Sean tells Alya she should be ashamed of herself for representing Matty Radcliffe.

Meanwhile, Moira prepares for her programme of radiotherapy. Cain pledges to stick to his promises to Moira and support her through her treatment as he tries to keep his guilt over Ruby buried.
