Curtis Pritchard and Catherine Agbaje at opposite ends of Love Island: All Stars popularity

Ahead of the latest series of Love Island: All Stars starting on Monday, research has found that Curtis Pritchard is the public’s least favourite contestant…

Online bingo website Heart Bingo took social sentiment data from X/Twitter since the lineup was announced earlier this week and Curtis has received the lowest share of positive posts in that time.

While Catherine Agbaje came out on top with 51.9% of social media conversations speaking positively about her, just 22.3% of posts about Curtis were positive – leaving him bottom of the pile in the public’s eyes. The public are also favouring Scott Thomas (49%), Ronnie Vint (48.4%) and Olivia Hawkins (43.7%)

Only slightly better received than Curtis are Kaz Crossley (23.1%), Nas Majeed (25.7%), and Gabby Allen (26.6%).

Since the announcement Curtis was returning to ‘the island of love’ social media has been far from kind to the professional dancer. Firstly, a clip resurfaced mocking the 28-year-old for ‘GCSE level acting’ in Hollyoaks. This was followed up with posts suggesting he’d dumped actress Sophie Sheridan to appear on the ITV2 show. The theme of the posts were she’d had ‘a lucky escape’.

But Pritchard told The Sun that simply wasn’t true. “I had a girlfriend just previously, obviously it didn’t work out.” adding that he’d dumped his most recent partner, Sophie, a few months before being asked to return to the villa.

Sarah Caskie, Head of Brand for online bingo website Heart Bingo:

“There’s not long to wait until the new series of Love Island All Stars gets underway and Curtis Pritchard already seems to be out of favour with the public. Our research found that, since the lineup was announced, just 22.3% of posts on ‘X’ concerning Curtis have been positive – the lowest proportion of any contestant.

“Compare that to Catherine Agbaje, of whom 51.9% of posts have been positive, making her the public’s favourite islander ahead of the first episode. Scott Thomas and Ronnie Vint also appear to be popular, while out of favour along with Curtis are Kaz Crossley and Nas Majeed.”
