Diversity, Equity and Inclusion celebrated with 2025 British Diversity Awards

The shortlist for the 2025 British Diversity Awards has been announced…

The winners of the coveted awards will be revealed at a star-studded awards ceremony on Wednesday 19th March at Grosvenor House London, with co-hosts broadcaster and entrepreneur June Sarpong OBE alongside BAFTA award-winning presenter Dr Ranj Singh.

Founder of the British Diversity Awards Linda Riley:

“I am delighted that the British Diversity Awards, in only its fourth year, have now become the biggest Diversity awards in the UK, and this year we have received a record number of entries. Our event shows Diversity – let’s always spell it with a capital D – and is here to stay!”

The evening celebrates Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by recognising and bringing together individuals and organisations who continually strive to make workplaces and society more inclusive for all.

Now in its fourth year, the awards have 21 categories to celebrate individuals, organisations and unsung heroes who help to make the world, and the workplace, a better place for others.

Since their inception in 2022 the British Diversity Awards has seen an increase of 181% in the number of nominations across the award categories, with positive change spearheaded by trailblazing icon and founder of the gong event Linda Riley.

Comedian and BBC Strictly 2024 winner Chris McCausland, football legend Ian Wright OBE and activist and presenter Katie Piper OBE are amongst big names nominated in the Media Champion in the Public Eye category, won last year by former professional football player Jason Lee.

Nominations for Athlete Powering Positive Change include Sir Mo Farah, Marcus Rashford MBE and the first ever refugee Olympic medallist Cindy Ngamba, all being recognised for using their platforms of their sporting endeavour to impact positively on society.

The standout awards include Outstanding Ethnicity Network of the Year, Outstanding Women’s Network of the Year, Outstanding LGBTQIA Network of the Year and Social Mobility Initiative of the Year, to name but a few, with organisations and companies such as NationalGrid, EDF Energy, Ocado Group, Virgin Media O2 and Capgemini amongst just some of the nominees.

Not only do the awards celebrate individual celebrities and sports stars, but also recognises and celebrates and honours individuals through the Hero, Diversity Champion, Inspirational Role Model, HR Champion and Head of Diversity categories; with each person cutting through, and setting standards for others to follow to promote their values of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion across their workplace.

“Headline sponsor LSEG are sponsoring an award on the night, along with Allianz Commercial, Amazon, AMS, Atlanta, Boots, BT Group, CBRE, Centrica, DHL Express, Haleon, HSBC Innovation Banking, Leathwaite, Legal & General, Lockton & UK Sport, National Grid and Paramount also sponsoring categories.” – British Diversity Awards
