River City

This week in Shieldinch… In the first episode of the week preparing to start her new life in Brighton, Suzie is full of mixed emotions about leaving Shieldinch behind. Later, when Roisin and Scarlett claim they’re too busy to meet up, Suzie can’t hide her disappointment. Unbeknownst to her, her friends have a surprise party planned for Suzie and she’s thrilled when everyone comes together to bid her a fond farewell.

Elsewhere, Chloe is taken aback when Conor snubs her advances. He makes it clear he’s fed up with her calling the shots on when they hook up and she realises he has a point.Later, Chloe’s surprised to hear Madonna has taken her advice and has plans to get her crush to notice her, once and for all. However, when Conor and Chloe make up and go back to his flat, they’re shocked to see Madonna in his bed.

Madonna is further stung when Conor rejects her with a crushing comment, leaving Chloe to try and make peace. However, a mortified Madonna makes it clear she won’t take their joint humiliation lightly.

In the second edition Eddie confronts Tyler, accusing him of being a police informant. Despite Tyler’s solid denial, Eddie reminds him if it is him, he’s going to need to support. Feeling overwhelmed, Tyler confesses all to Eddie. Despite Eddie’s support, Tyler fears he’s in too deep now and time is running out for him.

Elsewhere, Gillian senses Mikey’s black mood and asks what’s up. He confesses that his night out with her has led to Jonathon giving him the silent treatment. Feeling guilty, Mikey tries to make peace with his husband only to be ignored.

Back at home, the couple are at loggerheads with Jonathon claiming to feel disrespected by his husband. However, when Mikey calls him out, he’s stunned at Jonathon’s angry reaction, leaving him traumatised and fearful.

Worried about Bob, Scarlett and Kelly-Marie think it’s time to call in the professionals and suggest a grief counsellor. Bob has other ideas – he wants to channel his grief into creating a memorial for Kim, to which Kelly-Marie offers to provide the money for.

This week in Erinsborough… Terese feels defeated, and deservedly so, in the wake of Moira’s resident uprising. Paul doesn’t believe the legal ultimatum they’ve given her can be enforceable, especially as Moira is getting her advice from Tim Collins, but it soon transpires that the contracts are on the residents’ side. Not that Terese feels she has any right to fight them anyway. Terese passes on the news to Karl and Susan, she officially has no more plans for coming back. The Kennedys praise her for handling it with so much composure, but deep down it’s killing Terese to step away, again, from everything she built.

Shane and Jane catch up for a drink and their fun, nostalgic conversation takes on a distinctly flirty vibe when the subject of their long-ago relationship comes up. Remi brings Cara home from hospital, but struggles to keep her resting as much as she should be after major surgery. Cara thinks Remi should put more trust in her to know her own body.

Krista continues her attempts to support Sebastian, but it’s clear Leo wants his girlfriend to wash her hands of her bestie. While out at the Back Lane Bar, Byron and Sadie watch Seb be the life of the party. Krista and Leo arrive in an attempt to take Seb home, but he won’t go with them. The group leaves Seb, unaware he’s being watched by a shading looking guy. The guy is revealed to be a loan shark Seb owes money to.

When Leo gets wind of this, he believes Seb wants Krista to get him out of this mess. Leo demands Seb leave Erinsborough for good because if he sticks around, Leo will make his life hell. Later, Leo tells Krista he’s now fully on board with her helping Seb. When Krista finds Seb’s room empty, Leo acts surprised, pretending to have no idea why Seb’s suddenly disappeared.

Nell surprises JJ with a visit, saying Toadie doesn’t know she’s there as he’s off on a ‘secret mission’. Meanwhile, Terese is rattled to run into Toadie at Harold’s. When he wants to talk to her, she begs off, lettng him assume she needs to go to work at Eirini Rising. When Byron, Sadie and Max learn Vera’s still having money troubles, Vera quickly turns her housemates’ sympathy to her advantage. But when Sadie and Max bond over being duped by Vera, Byron’s jealousy surges, more convinced than ever that Max has designs on his girlfriend.

A glamorous newcomer, Yaz Shields, arrives in Erinsborough and meets with Mayor Helen Brown. Yaz presents herself as a creative entrepreneur who has made her fortune in staging bespoke lighting events in the US. Now she wants to stage ‘Erinsborough Lights Up’. With encouragement from Aaron, Helen tasks Yaz with enlisting local sponsors and community support although Yaz mysteriously already has the hotel, Eirini Rising and the school in her sights.
