Two new villagers arrive in Emmerdale

Emmerdale is set to welcome two new characters to the Village – Ruby’s dad, Anthony, and daughter, Steph, whose arrival will have far-reaching repercussions for the Miligan family…

Emmerdale producer, Sophie Roper:

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family. With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.”

Steph, portrayed by Georgia Jay (Giri/Haji), is smart, self-assured, and a bit reckless.

Steph hasn’t had any contact with her parents in more than ten years. It’s clear that she has inherited both the best and worst traits from them, including their narcissistic need to win at all costs.

Anthony, played by Nicholas Day (Minder, The Crown), has mellowed with age and appears to be charming to those around him.

Ruby (Beth Cordingly) hasn’t seen her father in over thirty years. After the passing of her mother, she finds herself facing the difficult task of reuniting with her estranged family.

Nicholas Day:

“I’ve been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family. And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding – I feel blessed.”

Georgia Jay:

“I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory.”

Anthony and Georgia will appear on screen later this month.

Emmerdale, weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and STV or stream at 7am on ITVX
