Research takes a look as to which dance type on Strictly Come Dancing has brought about eliminations…
As the 22nd season of Strictly Come Dancing heats up on BBC One, researchers have reviewed all 21 previous seasons and the first 6 episodes of the current season to determine which dance types have resulted in the most eliminations, and conversely, which have seen the most couples through to the next round.
The Samba has caused the most eliminations, with 33 couples leaving the competition. Conversely, the Quickstep has been the most successful dance, securing progression for 157 couples.
An extensive analysis by MyBettingSites.co.uk of over 2,300 dance routines, covering almost two decades, 22 seasons, and close to 500 episodes, reveals the top 10 dances that have resulted in the most eliminations:
