The coverage will be streaming on YouTube…

Channel 4 has today confirmed that its first overnight coverage of a US presidential election coverage since 1992 will be livestreamed in full on the broadcaster’s YouTube channel.

The announcement builds on the broadcasters’ strategic partnership with the online video platform to bring programming to digital audiences. It follows the success of the broadcaster’s Paris 2024 Paralympics coverage, which saw 1300 hours of sport content on Channel 4 Sport’s YouTube channel, and Channel 4’s YouTube livestream of the United Kingdom general election in July 2024, which amassed 641,000 views.

Channel 4’s US election offering on YouTube is the latest step in the broadcaster’s digital transformation as part of its Fast Forward Strategy, reaching young audiences where they most enjoy watching content to deliver trusted and relevant programming.

In America Decides: US Election Results political heavyweights from the UK and USA will be joining the programme including former UK and Australian Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Malcolm Turnbull whol will be giving their insights from Channel 4’s studio in Washington DC.
