The Beeb has secured a six-part crime drama series titled The One That Got Away, set and filmed in Pembroke Dock, Wales, for BBC Wales, BBC Four, and BBC iPlayer. With twists and turns leading to a heart-stopping finale, the programme is forensic examination of a town, a killer and a relationship, past and present.

Penned by Catherine Tregenna, known for Law & Order UK, Lewis, and DCI Banks, the production features Elen Rhys, Richard Harrington and Rhian Blythe.
The One That Got Away is a psychological thriller that follows DI Ffion Lloyd (Rhys) as she teams up with her former lover DS Rick Walters (Harrington) to solve the murder of a nurse in a Welsh seaside town. The case reopens deep-seated wounds within the tight-knit community, casts doubt on a previous conviction, and suggests the chilling possibility of a copycat murderer.
The show delves into the intricate dynamics of a town, a killer, and a relationship, both in the past and present. The One That Got Away is the English-language adaptation of the Welsh-language drama Cleddau, originally produced for the Welsh broadcaster S4C.
