Toyah still bookies favourite to depart Strictly

BetMGM make Toyah Willcox the 11/10 favourite to be the next celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing…

The singer and actress was top of the bookies list to disappear from the showbiz ballroom last week, but the judges saved the Tales of the Unexpected performer from leaving with Three-time Olympic champion Tom Dean and his professional dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova instead departing the dancefloor battle.

Some may be saying- as the title of one of her hits goes – ‘It’s a Mystery’ how she’s still there. The 66-year-old, narrowly avoided elimination last Sunday, is the leading contender to dance for the last time this weekend ahead of ex-footballer Paul Merson at 3/1 and Nick Knowles at 5/1.

Meanwhile, Chris McCausland is now the strong favourite for the Glitterball trophy. The comedian, who has impressed with his two opening dances, is 11/8 from 7/2 with Tasha Ghouri next best in the market at 3/1.

UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar:

“Many thought Toyah Willcox was fortunate to survive last week’s dance-off and our traders feel her time might be up this weekend. She’s the 11/10 favourite to be the second celebrity to exit Strictly, with Paul Merson (3/1) and Nick Knowles (5/1) also in the running.

“In the outright betting, Chris McCausland has been very popular and we make him the clear favourite for the competition at 11/8.”
