Hollyoaks debuts new title sequence

Hollyoaks has debuted a new title sequence.

The vibrant new titles, which coincide with the show’s shift to three episodes each week and a one-year leap in the storylines, highlight the lively atmosphere of Hollyoaks village as its stylish residents come together at the heart of the community – The Dog in The Pond.

The snappy new sequence is accompanied by a new slowed-down track as  the theme music is revamped – still having the familiar ring but with a modern twist.

A.Skillz, the composer who has worked on all of the titles since 2009, created the new arrangement. The main guitar hook is unchanged but updated with new instruments, and slower tempo shifts.

The titles shoot was directed by Angelo Abela.

The new titles have already debuted on Channel 4 streaming, and will be making their debut on E4 this evening at 7pm.

The previous titles were phased out a week ago, swapped for a new title card showcasing a stunning aerial shot of Chester’s River Dee taken by a drone.

The complete sequence transitions from this beautiful river view to the happenings within the dog, and was intentionally kept under wraps to prevent any spoilers about the show’s ‘time jump.’

Hollyoaks is now available to stream from 7am Monday to Wednesday on Channel 4 or watch live on E4 at 7pm.
