The bookies are putting odds on it…
Dermot O’Leary has been given a strong chance of walking away from his presenting duties on ITV’s ratings disaster This Morning, according to betideas.com.
Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com:
“Dermot O’Leary is the latest big ITV name to start branching out from his duties with the channel, with rumours rife that his tenure on ITV’s This Morning is coming to an end. We make him 11/10 to quit the flagship daytime programme altogether and 3/1 to start his own talk show, while appearances on a selection of BBC programmes also seems a possibility.”
After his decision to co-host Dave’s upcoming Silence is Golden – following a list of ITV presenters to take up roles away from the channel – O’Leary is 11/10 to quit the programme anytime in 2024.
The presenter has also been rumoured to defect to the BBC and is 7/2 to present The One Show and 4/1 for a stint on Morning Live, while he is 3/1 to start his own TV talk show.
