The first day of the month saw Alan Jones report on the new 12-mile stretch of the M6 motorway running between Coleshill and Ansty, including a view of the pedestrian footbridge at Corley services.
MACE Archive note, ‘Alan drives on a section at Maxstoke that has an extra lane to aid the overtaking of slow moving lorries. We then see a view of the M5 at Bescot in the West Midlands which has a gradient and problems with a build-up of heavy vehicles. Jones then shows how difficult it is to leave the M5 at Bescot due to the numbers of lorries.’
