The BBC’s flagship political discussion programme, Question Time, will be broadcast from Coventry University next week…
Coventry University Provost Ian Dunn:
“Universities are an important forum for debate, discussion, and the exchanging of ideas so to welcome back BBC Question Time, is something we’re really excited about.
“Square One is a fantastic venue which has hosted many important events, such as a live broadcast address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to students in 2022, and we look forward to seeing Fiona Bruce and the panellists later this month.”
The show, chaired by Fiona Bruce and produced by Mentorn Media, sees a panel of politicians, journalists, industry experts and the media, debate the main political issues of the day, prompted by audience questions.
The episode, filmed at Square One, located within Coventry University’s Hub building, will be broadcast on 23rd May. It will be the second time Square One has hosted Question Time – back in 2017 the show featured politicians Tobias Ellwood, Emily Thornberry, Norman Lamb, journalist Laura Perrins and actor and writer Rob Delaney. The line-up for this month’s show will be revealed closer to the broadcast date.
Around 140 people will make up the audience for the programme.
Lauren Joyce, Events Officer at Square One:

“I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an incredibly skilled and talented team who can bring any event to fruition, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the BBC once more and showcase our wonderful venue and its facilities.”
