George makes a difficult phone call to his estranged son Junior in order to inform him about the recent family news – the passing of Gloria. However, he is unable to reach Junior and is directed to his voicemail.

Eddie calls George from prison and asks him to meet to discuss Gloria. During a vicious showdown, Eddie and George trade wounding words, which send George deeper into despair.

Later, unable to contain his fury about Eddie, George heads to an underground boxing club only to be stopped by concerned Phil. George won’t listen as Phil begs him not to fight, and ends up getting knocked out.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Dean is shocked to hear the evidence against him.

Johnny, Linda, Sharon, Denise and Stacey meet to discuss making their plan watertight whilst Jean tries to comfort Jade who is struggling to comprehend her father’s actions.

Elsewhere, Yolande is busy organising the fundraiser with Pastor Clayton when Patrick arrives home. As they catch up, Pastor Clayton is irritated that Yolande’s focus has been diverted. Patrick is stunned to hear that Denise is living at Phil’s and he later confronts Jack about his cheating.

Denise asks Yolande not to tell Patrick about her hospital stay, but he soon becomes suspicious that they are keeping something from him.

Also, Jay is shocked when he receives a voice note from Nadine who wants to see him.

Roy appears in court where the CPS barrister paints him as a murderer with a violent past, bringing up his assault on Gary and the abduction of Wayne.

As Nina, Evelyn and Carla await Roy’s bail hearing, Dee-Dee hurries over and hands Nina a letter from Roy. Fighting back tears, they realise that Roy is convinced he’s going to prison. Unable to face the hearing, Evelyn heads back to the cafe to check on Freddie.

Dee-Dee puts forward her case and urges the Judge to grant Roy bail, but the judge refuses the application and orders that he be held in custody until his trial.

In the cafe, Bobby is given food for thought whilst mulling over Roy’s predicament with Bernie.

Meanwhile, Adam meets up with Rebecca, a new client, at the Chariot Square Hotel. Having ordered a bottle of wine, he flirts with Rebecca and the chemistry between them is evident. When Alya calls to tell him that he’s needed in the office for a meeting, Adam kills the call leaving her frustrated.

Alya takes the meeting with Rich from Fabian’s in place of Adam and Rich is impressed with her knowledge, suggesting she’s future partner material.

Adam returns to the street with Rebecca and as they kiss, Adam invites her up to the office. As Alya winds up the meeting with Rich, suddenly the door bursts open and Adam and Rebecca stumble in, mid-snog.

Elsewhere, Stu shows Eliza his newly tattooed arm with her name on it but when Eliza points out that the ‘z’ is the wrong way round, Hope and Yasmeen are amused.

Also, Sarah apologises to Gary for making a drunken pass at him and is horrified when Gary reveals that Maria has a hidden camera. Will Gary delete the footage in time?

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Suzy finds Kerry and insists she has one last chance to pay up for the wedding or it’s off.

Meanwhile, Manpreet confronts Ruby face to face, but is left fearing she has made things worse.

Elsewhere, Rhona hopes for custody of Ivy.

Also, Jacob tries to hide news from Victoria.
