Johnny is representing Sharon, who has spent the night at the police station after being arrested. Despite the new evidence presented by the detective, Sharon remains steadfast in her story.

Meanwhile, back in Walford, Johnny and the rest of The Six gather as they prepare to be re-questioned by the police. When Johnny later returns home without Sharon, Kathy and Suki unveil a new plan.

Phil asks Zack to take care of Albie while Sharon is being questioned, but Zack refuses. The gossip mill on the Square continues to churn as the residents come together to support Bernie in her time of need. Phil defends Sharon, which leads Felix to accuse him, but just as tensions rise, Kat arrives.

Later, Phil is given food for thought following a conversation with Kat and he makes an offer to Denise. Bernie leaves Walford to visit Karen in Spain and inform her of Keanu’s death.

Meanwhile, George is shocked when he receives a call from the CPS informing them that Gloria has given them information about Eddie. Gloria arrives at The Vic and encourages George to testify.

However, George is angered when he overhears a clandestine phone call between Gloria and Eddie and it becomes apparent that she is unable to turn her back on him. George orders his mum out of his life once and for all.

Elsewhere, Jack shares his desire to reconcile with Denise but he’s heartbroken when she shuts him down.

As Liam gets ready for court, Gary and Maria do their best to bolster his confidence.

With his rucksack on his back, Dylan scuttles out of the hotel. A worried Violet calls at No.11 and tells Sean that Dylan has gone missing.

In the Bistro, a nervous Liam picks at his breakfast when Sean and Violet hurry in to reveal that Dylan’s missing. As Gary offers to help find Dylan, Liam heads home and unbeknown to him, someone watches from across the street.

Dylan drags Liam into the ginnel and after telling him about Mason’s threats, suggests they do a runner to avoid going to court. Having discovered that Liam’s not at home, Gary and Maria tell Sean and Violet that Liam’s gone missing too. Will Liam and Dylan show up for court?

Meanwhile, Nick and Shona discuss the dreadful abuse that Roy’s having to deal with. Sam wishes he could pay Roy a visit but Nick doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Sam lies to Shona and tells her that he’s going round to see Hope, but calls at the café and suggests to Roy they have a game of chess.

Elsewhere, Daisy arrives for work, convinced Carla can’t fire her as her name is on the deeds but Jenny isn’t receptive. Daisy calls at Street Cars flat and tells Ryan that she’s lost everything and she doesn’t want to lose him too. Appalled by her recent behaviour, Ryan orders her to leave.

Also, Ed plans to spend his insurance money on some new tools, but Dee Dee doesn’t think it’s a good idea; Toyah is sceptical of what Rowan is teaching Leanne.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Lydia tries to ease Ruby’s concerns about Cain’s ultimatum, but when he storms in and grabs Sam’s air fryer from the counter, it’s clear they weren’t empty threats. Sam, Ruby and Lydia watch on in horror as Cain smashes all three air fryers with a sledge hammer.

Working on her plan to win Cain over, Chas reluctantly agrees to help Ruby out. The Dingles start to arrive for Ruby’s impromptu gathering, including a bewildered Caleb. Realising he has been tricked into attending, Cain is seething.

Caleb and Cain get off to a rocky start but as they appear to be thawing, they’re interrupted by a sudden karaoke performance from a drunken Ruby.

Ruby’s gathering at The Woolpack starts to descend into chaos as she fights for Caleb’s forgiveness. Caleb steps up to defend Ruby and makes it clear to Cain which side he has chosen.

Meanwhile, Tom is irritated to see Belle spending time with Vinny and the dogs. When Belle gets called into work, Vinny offers to look after Piper but later Belle is distraught when Vinny tells her that he’s missing.

Tom is quick to take on the role of the calm saviour. With Piper missing, Belle and Vinny’s friendship is at breaking point.

Elsewhere, Claudette makes a suggestion; Billy commits to his new plan of becoming a PT; Charles and Manpreet get caught in a lie.
