Look Around, the Midland features series gets an insight into the sport of car rallying.

MACE Archive notes: ‘Library shots of cars competing in the Alpine and East African Safari rallies. Point of view in a car driving fast along a precipitous mountain road. View of sports cars racing on a circuit at Silverstone.

Reporter David Rees arrives at the BMC Competitions Department – he is driving a Jensen car. Inside the building, we see Mini and Austin Healey cars being prepared for a rally (including views taken from a gantry crane). Mute shots of David Rees being shown the features of a rally Mini in the workshop by competitions manager Stuart Turner followed by views of an MGB and Austin Healey car.

Item ends with views of cars being tested in a workshop and further library shots (source unknown) of cars competing in the Alpine Rally.’
