Jack is walking on eggshells around Denise. He opens up to Stacey, seeking her advice, and she suggests that he should comply with whatever Denise asks of him.
Stacey visits Denise and convinces her to work on saving her marriage. The two women plan a family BBQ to bring both sides of baby Charli’s family together.
Later at the BBQ, there is an uncomfortable atmosphere. Stacey talks to a fragile Denise, feeling guilty about the situation. Out in the backyard, Stacey tells Jack that she wishes she could be selfish, but he needs to be there for Denise. He holds his arms out for a hug, and they share a tender goodbye kiss, but Martin walks in and catches them.
Meanwhile, Elaine and the Knight girls shower George with attention on the morning of his birthday, but their celebration is interrupted by Gloria’s arrival. Despite receiving a cold reception, George agrees to talk to his mother. However, when Gloria insists that George had a happy childhood, he becomes infuriated and loses his temper.
Elaine escorts a shaken Gloria out, and George, horrified by his outburst, hastily leaves. Later, he returns and confides his fears to Elaine before breaking down in her arms.
Elsewhere, Jean proposes The Vic as the venue for Jade’s fundraiser, and to everyone’s surprise, Linda agrees on the condition that Dean is not allowed to attend.
Back at Dean’s place, Jean becomes terrified when Jade experiences a severe coughing fit and immediately calls the doctor, much to Dean’s horror. The situation worsens when Jade takes a look at Dean’s phone.

In the café, an internet sleuth listens as Roy tells Nina and Yasmeen that he has been asked to go back to the police station to be interviewed.
After hearing David and Shona speculating over whether Lauren’s dad’s far right group could be involved, Max decides to pay Reece a visit in prison. He tells him how Roy is wrongly suspected of Lauren’s murder when all he did was clean the flat for her.
Later in the café, Roy finds himself alone, apart from two dodgy men sitting at a table. When one of them gets up and locks the door, he realises he’s in danger.
Meanwhile, Amy convinces Steve that it’s best if she tells Tracy about Tommy’s move to Spain. In the Rovers, Steve can’t help himself and breaks the news to Tracy that Tommy has accepted a job as football coach in Spain.
Steve suggests to Tracy that with Tommy out of the way, they could give their marriage another go.
Elsewhere, Eileen puts pressure on Sean to call Violet, but Dylan reveals that he’s already spoken to his mum and she can’t attend the court hearing as she’s in Ibiza. Is he telling the truth?
Also, Gemma and Chesney take Joseph to visit Oakhill, but it’s clear something is bothering Joseph; Leanne attends the institute again with Simon and Rowan is pleased to see her there.

Moira is relieved when Cain tests negative for the faulty BRCA2 gene. The Miligans are all relieved when Caleb tests negative, which means Nicky is in the clear too.
Aaron is worried when he realises that he has inherited the faulty BRCA2 gene from his mum.
Chas is relieved to hear Cain and Caleb’s results. Aaron lies to her and claims that he tested negative for the faulty gene too.
Meanwhile, Mandy discusses her relationship troubles with Belle.
