Virgin Media becomes the first UK Pay TV platform to offer channel dedicated to women’s football

Virgin Media becomes the first UK Pay TV platform to carry the ‘DAZN Women’s Football’ FAST channel dedicated to growing the profile and audience of the women’s game…

Virgin Media TV customers can now enjoy access to DAZN Women’s Football channel at no extra cost, as the company becomes the first UK Pay TV provider to carry the dedicated FAST channel.

Available to Virgin TV customers directly via their set-top-box, DAZN’s FAST channel offers the opportunity to enjoy live football coverage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), which features a number of Lioness players such as Chelsea stars and Bayern’s Georgia Stanway, as well as behind the scenes access and exciting archive footage.

With appetite for women’s football continuing to soar and peak audiences for key matches such as the England vs Spain Women’s World Cup final in 2023 reaching heights of 14.8m, Virgin Media is committed to catering for this growing demand while keeping up with customers’ evolving viewing habits by partnering with best-in-class broadcasters such as DAZN.

This new addition to Virgin Media’s TV line up can be found on the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) on channel 554 and comes as part of the company’s expanding FAST channel offering, providing an alternative and complimentary experience to traditional linear TV. Virgin Media O2 will continue to evolve its FAST channel offering the company notes.
