The Beeb has acquired mystery thriller The Gone starring Richard Flood and Acushla-Tara Kupe for BBC Four from Red Arrow Studios International.

Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition:

“Set amongst the beautiful New Zealand landscape, The Gone is an atmospheric and suspenseful mystery thriller, guaranteed to keep viewers guessing until the very end.”

The six-part series follows the journey of Irish detective Theo Richter (Flood) who teams up with a Kiwi detective, Diana Huia (Kupe), when a young Irish couple go missing from a rural New Zealand town. The series also stars Manu Bennett, Michelle Fairley and Carolyn Bracken.
