Jenny Platt reprises Violet Wilson role in Coronation Street

Jenny Platt has reprised her role as Violet Wilson in Coronation Street after 13 years.

Her character, a former Rovers barmaid, will be drawn back to the area to support her son Dylan, who has been bullying Liam Connor under the influence of Mason Radcliffe.

In next week’s episodes, Dylan’s father, Sean (played by Antony Cotton), will discover the extent of his son’s actions, and word will eventually reach Violet. As Dylan faces serious consequences for his behaviour, both parents will need to provide him with support.

Violet’s reappearance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 and she is expected to be around for a few episodes.

Platt previously made a guest return to the soap in 2011, as Sean visited Violet and Dylan in London. She had previously been a regular on the cobbles between 2004-2008.
