Disneyland Paris set the stage for a star-studded launch event last weekend, where a host of celebrities gathered to celebrate the grand reopening of the Disneyland Hotel.
Guests enjoyed unprecedented hospitality, fine dining, and uniquely Disney entertainment, all while immersing themselves in an experience inspired by Disney’s royal stories. Additionally, a series of special events unfolded at the hotel over the weekend, marking its emergence as the world’s first five-star hotel dedicated to Disney royalty following a two-year renovation.
Celebrities in attendance, along with their friends and family, included renowned actresses Nicola Coughlan and Eleanor Tomlinson as well as musician Isabel Getty. They were joined by other famous faces, including Belgian-French actress Virginie Efira French actor and model Lucas Bravo, French racing driver Pierre Gasly and designer Christian Louboutin.
As some of the inaugural guests to stay at the reimagined Disneyland Hotel and experienced its luxurious amenities, visitors also enjoyed a series of special surprises and activities to commemorate its reopening. After stepping into the breath-taking lobby of the hotel, Nicola, Eleanor and Isobel struck royal poses alongside Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Princesses and Princes, including Jasmine and Aladdin, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aurora, Phillip and Tiana and Naveen.
All of the royal guests were then treated to an enchanted moment, as the majestic lobby turned into a magical ballroom to host the Royal Ball, specially created for the star-studded event. Before the clock struck midnight, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White and her Prince took to the floor and danced a waltz to a medley of Disney of songs. To top off the night, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also participated in a magical moment celebrating Disney royalty.

This fairy-tale ceremony concluded in the most magical way, with the iconic façade of Disneyland Hotel coming to life during a unique projection show designed exclusively for the occasion. Using her magic wand, the Fairy Godmother led the special guests on a journey to the heart of the most beautiful Disney royal stories through a montage of animated moments celebrating Disney Animation movies such as Aladdin, Cinderella, Moana, and Frozen. Meanwhile, the little ones were captivated by their very own Royal Disney Encounter at the Royal Kids Club, providing an opportunity to mingle with Disney Princesses.
The enchantment continued for celebrity guests with a magical meet-and-greet with Elsa in the one-of-a-kind Royal Frozen Suite, bringing huge smiles to everyone’s faces. They were transported to Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace atop the North Mountain from Frozen, where they enjoyed the hotel’s grandest and most immersive experience yet, with everything decorated with a flurry of ice magic and complete with a breath-taking view of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. A shimmering ice chandelier elevates the room’s elegant silver and blue décor, while elegant materials that create transparency, lights, and reflection enhance every detail, ensuring guests can feel an emotional connection with the beloved story.
The Disneyland Hotel experience wouldn’t be complete without savouring its exquisite culinary delights and curated beverage selections. The highlight of this gastronomic adventure was the magnificent Royal Banquet dinner, inspired by the reception rooms found in castles around the globe. This special dining occasion invited guests to savour a regal feast within a gallery adorned with paintings depicting diverse Disney royal families, ensuring a truly enchanting experience.
The celebrities not only relished their stay at the Disneyland Hotel but also made the most of their visit to Disneyland Paris by immersing themselves in the resort’s enchanting attractions. Nicola, Eleanor, and Isabel spent their day enjoying iconic rides, exploring immersive lands, and witnessing the magic of various shows. Highlights included The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands at Frontierland Theater and Disney Stars on Parade in Fantasyland, Disneyland Park.

The evening culminated in the dazzling night-time show, Disney Electrical Sky Parade & Disney Dreams!, at Central Plaza, Main Street, U.S.A., Disneyland Park. These awe-inspiring spectacles created unforgettable moments for the celebrities and their families, leaving them with cherished memories to treasure for a lifetime.
Talking about the Disneyland Hotel, Nicola Coughlan said: “The Disneyland Hotel is incredible; it’s magical, immersive, and so much fun! I’m staying in the Beauty and the Beast-themed room, and everything is so well thought out; they literally just transport you into a Disney movie.
