Superheroes and love are on the menu this February with Rakuten TV

The streaming platform announces its slate of new arrivals for next month.

Highlights coming to Rakuten TV in February include Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and a variety of free rom-coms to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

With Valentine’s on the horizon, Rakuten TV is getting romantic. Snuggle up with Hope Springs, 10 Years and Two Lovers, which are available on AVOD, enabling viewers to watch for free with adverts. For those looking for more action and less romance, Last Knights, The Birthday Cake, The Last Heist are also available.

Just a little over a month after it’s cinematic release, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom arrives on Rakuten TV. From February 5th, the highly anticipated sequel of the hit DC movie will be available to buy or rent.  Jason Momoa’s aquatic superhero returns to defend the kingdom of Atlantis against a formidable new foe in this action/ fantasy that’s perfect for a half term treat.

Offering a mixture of thrillers, music, animation and comedy, new films available to rent from £4.49 include Manodrome, Harry Styles: Are you Curious?, Which Brings me to You, A Mystery on the Cattle Hill Express and Miller’s Girl.

Bolstering Rakuten TV’s free documentary offering, Quintessentially British is added to the platform alongside two powerful queer documentaries, Drag Becomes Him and In The Turn, to mark LGBT history month in the UK.

Joining Rakuten TV’s growing FAST offering, two brand new FAST channels launched on the platform: Zee World and Filmrise Hot Ones, which, respectively, bring viewers back-to-back Bollywood movies, and the infamous and hugely popular celebrity interviews which challenge them to answer questions while eating hot wings.  Both channels launch on 1st February.

Celebrating the release of Madame Web, the latest Spider-Man Universe adventure, top up your library with your Spidey favourites with buy and keep Spider-Man movies from £4.99 in 4K UHD.

Finally, the second season of Rakuten TV’s hit adventure reality show, Discovering Canary Islands, is available exclusively for free on the platform, and Timothée Chalamet’s enchanting turn in WONKA is also available now to rent and buy.
