Britain’s Got Talent begins 2024 search for a star

The show that searches for the next big star is heading back to ITV…

Britain’s Got Talent this week began production on the latest forthcoming series as singers, magicians, contortionists animal acts and everything between took to the stage, as judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli reunited with hosts Ant & Dec, in the search for the next talented superstar.

The judges were braced and ready to be met with some of the most spectacular displays of talent, as lucky hopefuls treaded the boards of the iconic London Palladium, in a bid to impress the panel enough to bag the life-changing £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.

Contestants will be dreaming of a golden buzzer, giving them an automatic place in the live semi-finals, and hoping to avoid the dreaded red buzzers which could put an end to their journey.

Last year saw comedy clown Viggo Venn be crowned winner of the 16th series after gaining the public vote, but who will take the title this year? Another novelty act or someone with real talent?

Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX in the spring. The series is produced by Thames Television/Fremantle and Syco Entertainment
