Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 17th January

Kathy calls a meeting at The Vic barrel store to discuss Denise, who is taking couples counselling with Jack. Suki shares the news of Denise’s visit to Nish, which concerns the women even more.

At therapy, Jack is rattled when its clear Denise isn’t listening.

Later, Jack heads out for air after a heated conversation with Denise, where he bumps into Stacey, who tries to get information on Denise. The pair share a charged moment as it’s clear there are still feelings there…

Meanwhile, Elaine gets The Vic ready for Phil and Kat’s joint birthday karaoke party under strict instructions from Jean. Sam continues to blackmail Phil, but he refuses to budge.

Later, Kat grows concerned when she spots Phil conspiring with Ben across the Square. She probes Ben but he gives nothing away.

In The Vic, Phil caves to Sam’s demands before he and Kat have a heart-to-heart on recent events, but the warm moment is short-lived when Sam takes the mic and reveals that Phil slept with Emma.

Elsewhere, Cindy is rattled to learn that Bobby is going on a date with Anna.

Gemma is hurt when she finds a solicitor’s business card, thinking Chesney is trying to take the kids away from her. However, Linda points out that it was her idea.

Later, Chesney receives a call from school telling him Joseph is poorly. Back home, Joseph’s condition worsens. Chesney orders Linda to call an ambulance.

The doctor approaches and explains that after talking to Dr Gaddas, they suspect Joseph has Lyme disease, which he contracted whilst camping.

Meanwhile, Adam visits Harvey in prison and makes out that he has a solid case for appealing after reviewing his files. Harvey warns Adam that if he lets him down, the hitman who’s going to deal with Damon will deal with him too.

Elsewhere, Gary and Maria see Liam off to school, but as soon as their backs are turned, he legs it back to the flat. Liam accesses the school website and reports himself absent due to illness.

Maria tells Gary that the school phoned and inform that they haven’t seen Liam for a week.

Also, Lauren is uneasy when Sabrina quizzes her about her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Charity and Mack are both struggling.

Elsewhere, an encounter with Manpreet in The Hide leaves Ella with a potential job opportunity as a receptionist at the new surgery.
