The finale of The Voice UK 2023 aired on ITV1 and STV earlier this evening (Saturday 30th December) and the audience voted Jen & Liv to be crowned champion of the twelfth series of the music show.
Winning coach will.i.am mentored Jenna (21, from Whitley Bay) & Liv (24, from County Durham) to win the coveted prize of a recording contract with Universal Music as well as winning a massive 50k cash prize and a luxury holiday to Mauritius. Will.i.am coached Jen & Liv to the win, making this his second The Voice UK win.
Liv said: “We are just really grateful, we’ve worked really hard and our families over there, we love them so much. All the coaches, Will you’ve been so life changing for us we just feel amazing, thank you everyone, thank you.”
An emotional will.i.am said: “Seeing the girls, they remind me of me and Apl, me and my best friend. To see people who really truly appreciate one another and support one another it just reminds me of the person that I built my dream with and that’s my best friend.”
The series saw coaches Anne-Marie, Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am once again assume their roles as the superstar Coaches as they returned to their seats in the most iconic chairs on television in the search for the next singing sensation.
The final, hosted by Emma Willis, saw all four coaches take to the stage to give a phenomenal performance as well as singing sensation Raye and last year’s winner Anthonia Edwards performing on The Voice UK stage.
