In a celebration of Ronnie Corbett Channel 5 air this special 90-minute documentary looking at the comedy and the life of one of Britain’s most talented and loved comedians and comedy actors who passed away in 2016.

The programme examines 30 moments from his incredible career spanning six decades which saw him go from early film roles and West End cabaret to starring in ground-breaking satirical sketches in the ’60s; becoming one-half of a beloved double act that dominated Saturday nights through the 70s and 80s with Ronnie Barker in ‘The Two Ronnies‘.

Corbett also hosted entertainment specials for BBC One including The Ronnie Corbett Special and Saturday Special as well as starring as the lead star in a sitcom as the mollycoddled Timothy Lumsden in Sorry; and continuing through the 90s and 00s hosting and guesting in panel shows, sketch shows and a multitude of TV and film roles, including a stand out cameo in Extras.

Applauded by his contemporaries for his ability, and hugely admired by the comedians and comedy actors for his generosity and passionate support of new talent, Ronnie Corbett is one of the most respected comedians of his generation.
