On this Day 1978: Christmas carols from St. Catherine’s Church Burbage

OTD, December 22nd, 1978…

ATV Today featured Christmas carols sung by the choir of St. Catherine’s Church at Burbage village in Leicestershire.

In the first part of this feature, a group of choir boys walk up the aisle of the church holding candles whilst singing the Calypso Carol. In a second segment shown later in the ATV Today episode, the boys leave the church and walk through Burbage village to the war memorial miming along to ‘Once in Royal David’s City’.
