Celebrities show support for Joss Stone and Change + Check choir Christmas single

Joss Stone and Lorraine’s Change + Check choir receive incredible support for charity single ‘Golden’ – in a bid to get it to number one this Christmas.

Lorraine Kelly;

“I’m so proud of my amazing team and wonderful choir who have made this possible and of course huge thanks to Joss Stone and our brilliant songwriters.”

With messages from the likes of Boy George, The Duchess of York, Amy Dowden, Christine Lampard, Judi Love and Shirley Ballis – to name a few – everyone is shaking their golden Christmas baubles in the hope to get the song to the number one spot.

The single is also dedicated to Hannah Hawkins, 33, a producer for Lorraine who recently passed away from secondary breast cancer.

Lorraine Kelly;

“Most of all my thanks to Hannah our fantastic producer who was taken from us with secondary breast cancer far too soon. This is Hannah’s song and dedicated to her and her fantastic husband Tom and their baby Rory. I am so very grateful to everyone who has downloaded the song.”

It appears ITV may have released the single way too early to make the Christmas Top Ten. The UK official charts note that ‘Golden’ has spent two weeks in the charts in total – but back in November when it was released.

The track peaked at Number 3 on the week of its release from November 17th. In the week starting November 24th, when The Beatles continued their three week run at the top with ‘Now and Then’ the Lorraine charity single dropped to Number 5. The following week it dropped out the Top 40 entirely.
