Holly makes a trauma-fueled demand in Neighbours

Boxing Day in Erinsborough…

With Holly’s life on the line, it looks like no one will come to the rescue… until Haz dives into the pool just in time.

Traumatised and suffering the after-effects of her near-drowning, she holes up at home, with Haz as her carer. He’s shaken by her brush with death, and the emotion it brings out leads to the pair reconciling: the world’s briefest ‘break’ is officially over. Meanwhile, Mackenzie is horrified by what her moment of madness almost caused, and desperate to make things right with Holly. But when Haz raises the idea of Mackenzie dropping by, Holly’s reaction is swift and brutal. She can’t imagine ever seeing or forgiving Mackenzie, and goes one step further.

When Haz points out she’ll be hard to avoid, especially given she’s his housemate, Holly makes a trauma-fueled demand: either Mackenzie needs to move out of the share house, or Haz does. How will Haz respond to this huge ultimatum?

A nervous Krista finally tells David about her pregnancy. Before they can discuss it further, Paul calls with an impossible task. He’s engineered a situation where Krista needs to present a party proposal to one of their most picky clients by the end of the day. Krista is briefly flummoxed, before she decides to lean into her nepo baby skills, and arrange a meeting with the client, Belinda. Laying on the Sinclair charm, Krista soon has Belinda eating out of her hand with gossip-tinged stories of her family brushes with the rich and powerful. Krista delivers her pre-approved proposal to Paul ahead of schedule, relishing this small win.

Paul will have to do better than that to bring her down. Game on.

Elly is giddy with excitement: the wedding countdown to this afternoon is on! But while Susan is babysitting Aster, she finds out Grandma Liz has been leaving the 6-year-old home alone for hours on end. When Elly finds out she has a blow-up with Liz, uninviting her to the wedding. Unfortunately, this also means no one can watch Aster while they’re away (Shaun is also out of town), so the honeymoon is off. Unwilling to watch the couple lose out, Susan steps up: she’ll stay in Sydney while the girls are away, meaning Aster is in safe hands. Crisis averted, Chloe and Elly can now put all their energy into enjoying their big day. What else could possibly go wrong?
