Denise decides to put an end to her marriage and packs a bag to leave, but she is stopped by a horrified Amy who flees the house. After they locate an upset Amy in the playground, Jack blames Denise for the state she is in and forbids her from leaving.

Meanwhile, Linda and Sharon arrive back in the Square with Sharon’s dream wedding dress, but Tommy accidentally sends it flying into the road.

Sharon reasons that it must be a sign for her to cancel the wedding, but after some encouraging words from Linda, and a new dress from Kathy, she decides to forge ahead.

Later, Linda is tempted by the bottle after a run-in with Dean. She is stopped in her tracks when she receives a text from Mick…

Elsewhere, Dean drowns his sorrows after Jade’s transplant is called off, and gets food for thought after a conversation with Rocky about forgiveness.

EastEnders, BBC One, 7.30pm

Dawn’s contractions begin at the Christmas fair.

Dawn delivers a healthy baby boy. Billy is overwhelmed when the baby is named after his father, Evan.

Meanwhile, Rhona’s jaw drops when Mary arrives home with Gus and Ivy in tow. Marlon is equally surprised by his new house guests.

Elsewhere, Tracy is afraid that Nicky knows about her affair with Caleb.

Also, Tom is thrilled by the imminent arrival of Nicola’s special guests. Hearing that Tom is a massive Torvill and Dean fan, Chas suggests today would be perfect for a proposal. But back at the fair with Belle, Tom is devastated.

Emmerdale, ITV1, 7.30pm

Maxine discovers her mum won’t be coming for Christmas so Scott invites her and Minnie to join him and the family.

Leah helps James find a Christmas present for Ste. During his punishment of clearing up the graffiti, Lucas gets carried away flirting with Maxine, but when her and Scott threaten to get James involved, his outburst leaves a window of the Youth Centre smashed.

Meanwhile, with the gas and electricity cut off at the Osbornes’ and Norma demanding her repayments, the pressure begins to build up for Darren.

Elsewhere, Dilly locks Rafe and Sienna in the Grotto and panicking Rafe has an outburst, leaving Sienna to realise he’s suffering with PTSD. Rafe opens up to Sienna about his past.

Later, there is tension between Rafe and Dilly as they digest the day’s events.
