EastEnders ‘whodunnit’ 2023: Odds suggest killer and victim

There’s apparently a murder in Albert Square this Christmas day…

EastEnders’ eagerly awaited Christmas ‘whodunnit’ storyline is edging closer and closer, and with a flashforward episode from February 2023 proving that there will be a male character death this year, the team at OLBG have profiled bookies odds revealing the most likely victim to be killed, as well as the most likely killer from the six potential female culprits.

Of course after the ‘Bobby Beale is the Killer’ outcome from a few years ago – when none of those in the frame in promos were actually the killer – viewers are speculating several outcomes. From the person not even really being dead due to Sharon declaring the person as deceased (fetch a doctor for confirmation) to the women all being out of The Vic when someone else slips in, after the incident with the broken champagne bottle, and gives a fatal stabbing. (Could it be Mick doing in Dean? Or Phil doing in Keanu? Or Keanu doing in Phil?) to several other theories.

The BBC are keeping it all hush-hush to make the reveal a big surprise on December 25th. However, bookies odds have given some predictions. These include Nish Panesar is the most recent favourite to be the Christmas Day victim at 4/1, and there would be multiple characters with motives to kill him – including his wife Suki Panesar.

Theo Hawthorne was a previous favourite to be murdered at Christmas at 5/2, however, he has since pleaded guilty to the stalking, harassment, and attempted rape of Stacey Slater which all but rules him out of being the Christmas Day victim… surely?

Odds were offered back in October around who the killer will be and it has been Stacey Slater who has stuck as the favourite throughout the year. The betting market was halted in Novemberonth but OLBG have looked at the latest odds that were offered alongside the BBC’s announcement last week of seven potential victims to tie up the odds.
