Paramount+ reveals peek into The Castaways

Paramount+ has released the official trailer and key art for upcoming UK original series The Castaways, available from Boxing Day.

 The adaption of the best selling novel sees sisters Lori, played by Sheridan Smith, and Erin, played by Celine Buckens, as they set off on the holiday of a lifetime in Fiji. After a huge fight, Erin never boards the island-hopping flight to their tropical resort and the plane, with Lori on board, fails to arrive at its destination.

With disaster and devastation laced throughout the gripping trailer and epic introduction to the series, thrown into the wake of the plane crash we see those who make it off the aircraft alive faced with the startling reality of – quite literally – fighting for survival on a deserted island.

Meanwhile, unable to give up on her sister who is presumed dead, Erin is relentless in her mission to uncover the truth to the plane’s disappearance.

In addition to Sheridan Smith and Celine Buckens, the production features Brendan Cowell as the plane’s pilot Mike Brass alongside Lasarus Ratuere as Felix Vatabua. Dominic Tighe plays Daniel Eldridge while Charlotte Vega portrays Amber Gordon.

The five-part series is produced and adapted by Clapperboard Studios and BlackBox Multimedia. The Castaways box set is available exclusively on Paramount+ from Boxing Day.
