In the first episode, Jamie shares his need-to-know recipes for a spectacular Christmas Day feast, from his foolproof guide to the ultimate roast turkey to a showstopping veggie centrepiece that gives the bird a run for its money. And not forgetting the all-important sides, he also shares his two-way stuffing that will please meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. Plus, Jamie shows us his shortcuts for perfectly crunchy roasties and vibrant veg to help us save time and oven space, all while ramping up the festive flavour.
In the second edition Jamie shares his best Betwixmas recipes for that cosy period between Christmas and New Year, celebrating leftovers and transforming them into delicious dishes. From a vegetable tarte Tatin and a Brussels sprout Caesar salad to winter veg gnocchi and a glorious way to turn that gifted panettone into a spectacular Black Forest gateau trifle, Jamie has the recipes to see us through from Christmas to the New Year, whether friends pop over or you stay wrapped up inside with the family.
Jamie’s Christmas Shortcuts begins tonight on Channel 4 at 8pm. The second episode airs next Monday (December 18th) and both episodes will be available from 9 pm tonight on the streaming service.
