BBC Three special looks at EastEnders ‘Christmas whodunnit’

Best on the Box choice for December 11th…

Tonight BBC Three ventures into the festive goings on down in Walford with a special focusing on the Christmas Day EastEnders storyline that has had audiences gripped since February.

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer of EastEnders:

“Since we announced our Christmas storyline back in February, there has been an overwhelming amount of speculation around the body in question and which one of our six Walford matriarchs might be responsible; with much of that speculation coming from the cast.  This show not only gives the audience the chance to hear from the actresses involved as they discuss their own theories but also gives some exclusive news about what’s to come this Christmas.”

The special, hosted by Joe Swash, sees him delve into the lives of six of Albert Square’s much-loved matriarchs – Denise portrayed by Diane Parish, Kathy the ever-fabulous Gillian Taylforth, Linda played by Kellie Bright, Sharon the iconic Letitia Dean, Stacey brought to life by Lacey Turner and Suki the glorious Balvinder Sopal – who have been at the heart of the storyline since its inception.

Whilst re-watching their alter egos, the actresses will share an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into their characters’ most gripping storyline moments of the year as they discuss which man might find himself wearing the dreaded cufflinks in The Vic at Christmas as well as sharing possible theories on how each of their characters could be driven to commit such a crime. This half-hour insight also offers an exclusive look at storylines still to come as the Beeb leads up to the much anticipated Christmas Day whodunnit reveal.

Nasfim Haque, Head of Content, BBC Three:

“The EastEnders whodunnit storyline has gripped fans since February, and we’re pleased to offer viewers on BBC Three this exclusive insight with those actresses at the heart of this gripping storyline.”

EastEnders: The Six Revealed at 8 pm on BBC Three.
