Gatsby (Timothée Chalamet), a wealthy Liberal Arts student with a penchant for gambling, decides to join his girlfriend Ashleigh (Elle Fanning) in Manhattan after interviewing prolific director Roland Pollard (Liev Schreiber) for the student newspaper. Ashleigh accepts an invitation from Pollard to a screening of his new film with his writer Ted Davidoff (Jude Law).
