Hollyoaks cast David Joshua-Anthony as Vicky’s half-brother, Andre

Hollyoaks have cast David Joshua-Anthony in the role of Vicky Grant’s (Anya Lawrence) half-brother Andre.

The charismatic newcomer is set to cause a stir when he rocks up to the youth club and befriends the resident teens, with a secret goal of reuniting with his estranged half-sister. Vicky, however, is oblivious to Andre’s existence, which leads to some very awkward moments.

Andre quickly becomes friends with Dillon, who offers him a place to stay at the Maaliks when he discovers his troubled home life.

Talking about joining the Channel 4 soap, David said:

“Being welcomed into the Hollyoaks family has been amazing and I’m enjoying the process of playing Andre. He is a kid who always thinks one step ahead of everyone else and is filled with so many thoughts and ideas. I can’t wait to see what life in the village has in store for him.”

David’s first episode as Andre will be available to stream on Channel 4 on Wednesday 6th December, and will air on E4 at 7pm on Thursday 7th December.
